Badminton club management software: a buyer guide

Choose badminton club management software with a practical test of bookings, court rotation, payments, and volunteer access. See where ShuttleOps fits.

Choose software by running a club night: bookings, fair games, payments, and the records volunteers need.

A practical buyer guide

Put your next club night to the test.

Choose ShuttleOps when your club needs bookings, attendance, payments, and fair court rotation in one place.

Ask your secretary, session helper, and treasurer to test their own weekly tasks.

Three practical checks

Test bookings, rotation, and payments

Use a private test club with ten fake players. Its seven-day sandbox lets you explore session management before involving members.

  1. Before club night

Change a booking, then check the list

Set up a session with your usual courts, capacity, member prices, and guest prices. Try a cancellation and a waiting list.

Check who gets a place and whether helpers see the current attendance list. Reuse the session settings for another date.

ShuttleOps supports these booking controls and reusable settings. Players manage availability in the app.

  2. During club night

Finish a game and rotate waiting players

A booking list cannot choose the next game. On a traditional peg board, helpers move names and remember who has waited.

Try two courts with ten sample players. Start and finish games, then check the next allocation and waiting players.

The ShuttleOps Digital Peg Board assigns available players to courts and rotates waiting players through a virtual court.

Test a late arrival and a manual change. Review game and wait times to judge the result for your club.

  3. After club night

Follow attendance through to the balance

Close the sample session and compare attendance, charges, and balances. Ask your treasurer which records they would otherwise copy into a spreadsheet.

ShuttleOps supports Direct Debit, offline payment marking, transaction review, and live balances. Plan allowances determine which payment features are available.

Use sample records to review the workflow. Before collecting real money, check the plan, both payment fees, and failed-payment handling.

Beyond the booking list

Let each volunteer try their own job

Roles and access

Give helpers the access their job needs. Check player management and finance permissions separately before inviting the whole committee.

Club communication

Find a session update as a player. ShuttleOps includes in-app chat, announcements, invitations, and optional email alerts.

Useful history

Open a completed session. Check attendance, game duration, wait times, partners, and opponents against what happened on court.

Mobile access

Repeat everyday tasks on the devices your club uses. ShuttleOps has iOS, iPadOS, and Android apps.

Where ShuttleOps fits

Match the plan to your club

ShuttleOps runs badminton club sessions. It records locations and courts, but does not book facilities. Payment instalments are not supported.

Free includes 10 members. Standard costs £4 a month and includes 25. Pro and Extra include 100 members. Existing bolt-ons can raise capacity, including 150 members.

Compare the subscription, payment charges, and any bolt-ons your club needs. Ask through Help if a feature or allowance is unclear.
